The Best Meatloaf (or so it says)

For all of you meatloaf lovers, this one is for you. I tried it out one night and I was very pleased with the results.

2 slices toasted bread, crumbled
1 cup milk
1 pound lean ground beef
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 cup grated onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon garlic salt

Most Delicious Sauce:
6 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup ketchup
2 teaspoons dry mustard ( i used regular mustard)
*optional- I put worchestershire sauce in my batch, I thought it was really good!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In al large bowl, soak the bread crumbs in the milk. Add meat, egg, and seasonings. Mix well and place in a loaf pan. Cover with the sauce and bake for about 1 hour.

For the sauce: combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. Enjoy!!
