I can't believe that I don't have this up already. I LOVE IT! It is not watery and the noodles are big and not thin like egg noodles. Perfect for that rainy/snowy day.
Enjoy!
4 Chicken Breasts (I used two and it was good enough too)
*Boil in water for 20 min. Cut into small chunks.
5 Carrots sliced
1 celery stalk cut up
1 onion chopped
2 quarts water (8 cups for all that don't know their quarts:)
4 Chicken Bouillion (sp?) cubes
*Boil all veggies and cubes for 15-20 minutes
Add Chicken
Add 1 can cream of chicken (this is what separates this recipe from others I LOVE the way that it thickens the soup. Don't leave this out)
1 tsp.basil
pepper to taste
1 cup frozen peas (also a favorite part for me)
1/2 a pkg. of "Grandma's Frozen Home made Noodles"(I put in the whole pkg. but make sure that the noodles are defrosted or at least separated a little- I had trouble with mine sticking to eachother)
****NOTE* You can make home made noodles- I will put that recipe up too-However if you do find Grandma noodles it is worth the trouble to just buy them b/c Grandma's does taste the same I promise)
COOK: for 5 min. more or until noodles are cooked through.
