Okay so I love the Garlic pasta sauce at Macaroni Grill and decided to see if I could make it. It's not perfected but I think it comes pretty darn close.
This is just what I did with it but you can do anything you want...
2 Tbsp of Butter
1 Tbsp of minced Garlic (or to taste)
In a frying pan melt the butter and mix in the minced garlic
Then add...
2 Tbsp of sundried tomatoes (or to your liking)
3/4 cup or 1 can of mushrooms (you can use fresh or canned)
simmer all together
Take...
2 Tbsp of flour mixed in with 1 cup of milk (I shake it together in tubberware)
Add this mix into the frying pan and let it simmer, keep stiring until it thickens. it's like you are making gravy.
-Add 1/2 cup parm. cheese
Add pepper and salt or seasoned salt to taste
Once the sauce has thicken you slowly add water. This is where you want it less thick and more of a pour. Depending on how thick you like it I suggest slowly adding one cup of water (pour 1/4 cup and then let it thicken again, pour another 1/4 cup etc.)
-Cook bowtie pasta (half a bag)
-grilled chicken (about a cup)
-zuchini or onions any veg. that you like. (about a cup)
Pour sauce over Cooked pasta and chicken. Serve with a salad and Tricia's french bread.
It's yummy!!!!
You might need to double or triple the recipe for the family.
Again this is just my design so if you think you can add to it and make it better...share!
