Texas Sheet Cake by Amber

My adopted sister-in-law Amber gave this recipe to me. I love my mom's Texas Sheet Cake but this one, in my opinion beats it. Sorry Mom. I don't know why. The cake is moist and delicious and The frosting is divine. So go make some and find out for yourself!

Texas Sheet Cake


Cake:
½ cup Margarine
1 Cup Cold water
4 TBSP cocoa
½ cup vegetable oil
2 cup Flour
2 cup sugar
½ cup Milk or Buttermilk
2 Eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Baking Soda

Frosting:
½ cup Margarine
4 TBSP Cocoa
¼ tsp Salt
5-6 TBSP Milk
1 tsp Vanilla
1 cup Nuts (optional)
1 box (1lb) Powdered Sugar

In a sauce pan boil Margarine, Water, Cocoa and Veggie oil.
In a separate bowl, mix flour and sugar.
Pour wet ingredients into Dry ingredients immediately.
Add and mix well milk with baking soda dissolved in to and eggs, vanilla and salt.
Pour batter into a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375*
20 minutes.

7-8 minutes before cake is done do the following:
In a saucepan add Margarine, cocoa, salt and milk. Cook on low heat just to melt and blend ingredients. DO NOT BOIL!!!
Remove from heat
Add vanilla, nuts (optional) and powdered sugar.

Spread over hot cake once it is removed from the oven!
